Who is D’Shawrna?

D’Shawrna “Che” McLucas is a Photographer and Blogger born and raised in the amazing state of North Carolina.  You’ve got it, she’s a southern belle… whatever that means!  She attended Appalachian State University on track scholarship and obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in May of 2013. Afterwards she went on to further her academia, eventually receiving her Masters in May of 2016. 

She gained her love for photography while in college. Nestled in the Blue Ridge Parkway and surrounded by scenic views, Appalachian State University proves to be one of the most beautiful campuses that you will ever see. Intrigued with the beauty around her, she purchased her first camera in 2012 and the rest is history! 

D’Shawrna’s life surely hasn’t been a “walk in the park“, but life would be boring if it were simple! Where’s the fun in that?  Besides, whoever said “life is easy” must’ve been living with their eyes closed.  

She’s experienced failures, victories, heartache, success and so much more.  But everything she’s gone through has been her driving force to Do Better and Be Better.  Adversity has made her who she is today.

D’Shawrna is just your average 20-something, trying to figure it all out. She’s relatable, helpful, and simply taking things one day at a time. She’s learning as she goes. Literally, learning as she goes! 🤯 *Whew*
